Who we are

Scratch Indoor Golf & Academy operates an indoor golf facility at 100-641 Lougheed Highway, Coquitlam, BC V3K 3S5. This policy covers this website and the personal information we handle through it.

What we collect

When you use the contact form: your name, email address, the topic you choose and whatever you write in the message. Nothing else — the form asks for no more than it needs.

When you book a bay, lesson, fitting or membership: those bookings are taken in our scheduling system, not on this website. What that system collects, including payment details, is governed by its own privacy terms.

When you buy from the Pro Shop: purchases run through Square, on Square's own site. We never see or store your card details.

Standard web request data such as IP address and browser type is processed by our hosting provider to serve the site and protect it from abuse.

When you browse the site: the Meta pixel records which pages you view and whether you send us a message or click through to enter a league. See "Advertising measurement" below.

What we do with it

Contact form messages are used to answer you. That is the whole purpose.

We do not sell your personal information. Apart from the advertising measurement described below, we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

We will not add you to a mailing list because you used the contact form. If we ever run one, joining will be a separate, deliberate choice you make.

Who processes it for us

Vercel hosts this website and processes web request data.

Resend delivers contact form messages to our inbox.

USchedule handles bookings and memberships. [VERIFY] confirm before launch.

Square handles Pro Shop orders and payments.

Meta Platforms measures how our Facebook and Instagram ads perform, through the Meta pixel on this site.

These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms. Some may store or process data outside Canada, which means it can be subject to the laws of those countries.

Advertising measurement and cookies

This website uses the Meta pixel, a tool from Meta Platforms (the company behind Facebook and Instagram). It sets cookies and sends Meta information about your visit: the pages you view, your browser and device, your IP address, and two actions — sending the contact form, and clicking through to enter a league.

We use it for one thing: to see which of our Facebook and Instagram ads bring people here, and to show those ads to people more likely to be interested. Meta may link this activity to your Facebook or Instagram account if you have one, under Meta's own privacy policy.

The pixel never receives what you type into the contact form — not your name, email or message. It is only told that a message was sent, and which topic you chose.

You can opt out. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, the pixel does not load at all. You can also block third-party cookies in your browser, and manage how Meta uses your activity for ads in your Facebook or Instagram ad preferences.

We use no other advertising or analytics tools. If that changes, this section will say so first.

How long we keep it

Contact form messages stay in our email for as long as they are useful for answering you and keeping a record of the conversation, and are deleted when they are not.

Booking and purchase records are kept by the systems that hold them, for as long as tax and business records require.

Your rights

Under BC's Personal Information Protection Act and Canada's PIPEDA you can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, and ask us to delete it where we have no continuing reason to keep it.

Email info@scratchindoorgolf.ca and we will respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm who you are before releasing information.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.

Children

Juniors are welcome at the facility, but this website is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Bookings for juniors are made by a parent or guardian.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Material changes will be flagged on the site rather than made quietly.
