Accessibility
What we have built in, where we still fall short, and how to tell us.
Last updated 28 July 2026
Details about physical access to the building still need confirming on site. We would rather leave them marked than guess and have someone arrive to a barrier we promised was not there.
Our commitment
Golf should not be harder to book than it is to play. We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA on this website, and to make the facility itself usable by as many people as possible.
We treat accessibility as part of building the site, not a pass at the end.
What we have done on this site
Text contrast is measured rather than eyeballed. Body and heading colours are checked against their actual backgrounds, including text over video, and meet or exceed the AA threshold.
The site works from a phone up, with touch targets at least 44 pixels and no horizontal scrolling.
Every interactive element is reachable by keyboard and shows a visible focus outline. A skip link jumps straight to the main content.
Form fields have real labels, errors are announced to screen readers, and focus moves to the first field that needs attention.
Images carry descriptive alternative text, and decorative imagery is hidden from screen readers rather than narrated.
Motion respects your system setting: turn on Reduce Motion and background video, parallax and scroll animation all stand down.
Content is structured with proper headings, lists and tables so it can be navigated by structure rather than by scrolling.
Visiting the facility
We are at 100-641 Lougheed Highway, Coquitlam — at the far end of the plaza.
[VERIFY] step-free entry, accessible washroom, accessible parking and bay access. These should be confirmed on site and stated plainly here rather than guessed at.
If you tell us what you need when you book, we will set the bay up before you arrive.
Where we fall short
Some imagery is design visualisation rather than photography of the real space, so it may not accurately represent the layout you will encounter.
Booking, memberships and the Pro Shop run on third-party systems whose accessibility we do not control. If you hit a barrier there, contact us and we will complete the transaction with you directly.
Tell us
If something on this site or in the building does not work for you, email info@scratchindoorgolf.ca or call 236-553-1888. Describing what you were trying to do helps us fix the right thing.
We aim to respond within two business days, and to fix genuine barriers rather than explain them.
